There's not much to say about this one. It's Tom Hiddleston again, already my fifth drawing/painting of him. My Hiddles folder is growing *yay*. And I like most of it, especially the face. Now that it's all done and dry though I realize I should have invested one more minute to conceal those two dark lines by (his) right shoulder and on the jacket, but it's already signed and it feels finished, so I'm just gonna leave it this way.
Oh, right, one more thing: The painting is not quite this dark but I'm sure you all have problems with your scanners... Stupid things! So, as you can imagine, it looks much better in real life.
Time: only 2 hours (true story!) Size: approx. 10 x 13 cm / 3.94 x 5.12 inches Materials: Acuarela paper from Oxford, 240g/m2 Black ink from Pelikan Thin paint brush HB mechanical pencil for underlying sketch Reference picture (don't know who took it, I just found it on tumblr) Title: "I stand alone" is a strophe from Kathy's Song by Simon and Garfunkel (btw, he DOESN'T stand alone, he has a whole army behind him. Right, fellow Hiddlestoners? )
Thanks a lot, Dominica ! I'm actualyl very proud of this painting because I think I was able to minimalize the right parts of Tom to make him still (sexy and) recognizable .
Thanks, I think so too . No, I've never used markers, but I might buy some this week and give them a try some time soon. So, what's your experience with markers? Any tips?
ive used black markers(blick) from time to time but i havent really gone deep into the colour/palettes! markers arent half bad they bleed thru paper some times but its not half bad!! but you would prob have to invest time and investigate as there are different types
